Overview

The Octagonal Amboyna Burl Handle with Blonde / Marble Horn Ferrule is a classic Japanese wa shape, seen on knives coming out of Sakai and Echizen.

It is made from amboyna burl, a wood from Southeast Asia, dense and durable, with a deep natural luster that improves with age. Every piece carries its own swirling, fiery grain. The blonde or marble-patterned buffalo horn ferrule contrasts with the wood.

Each handle is machined with a gentle distal taper, so it sits comfortably and stays well balanced.
