The Tanaka R2 / SG2 line has long been considered by many as one of the unicorn offerings amongst so many brands of chefs knives. It has a unique etched black damascus pattern, along with the signature Tanaka grind, it is a great cutter that has a great look. While the elusive ironwood series is very diifficult to get, the WA handle version is a lot easier to come by and has a much better price.
