是的。山塚光男仍在持續研磨。他依然站在研磨台前，並將技藝傳承給他的兩位兒子，他們也都是研磨師。

2025年他也擔任刀具研磨示範員，並擔任傳統工藝士認證考試委員會（試験委員）。
